KANAGAWA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL

Saturday Kindergarten Class
Saturday Kinder Class
It is intended for students aged 2 to 10 who attend kindergartens and elementary schools in Japan.
I spend a long time in an English-only environment from 9am to 2pm.
There are many situations in your daily life that are indispensable to your life, such as snack time, meals, and toilets, so you can acquire practical English skills.
Classes offer the same content as international schools.
We are also practicing a program to improve your English skills. It also introduces alphabet phonics, math, and simple knowledge that are common in English-speaking kindergartens.
Daily Active Tea changes weekly.
<Daily Activities> Specific example
Arts & Crafts / Music and Dance Class / Show and Tell
Painting, Drawing / Role Play, Themed discussion
About <Language Arts>
I will learn language conventions (grammar) from the age of five. We will teach you according to your skills.
You can take over to Sunday Elementary Class.
Reading
Read the Oxford Reading tree used by 14,000 International Schools around the world. There are 16 levels, and each level has 18 books each of the life series and the school series, with a total of more than 300 books. We will start to choose the level that suits each individual child. The challenge is to practice reading one book every week at school and read it back at home to ensure reading comprehension. Teaching materials are available for rent.
You can take over to Sunday Elementary and continue until junior high school.
Spelling
Explode the Code, which is used in international schools, is used as a textbook, and each lesson is taught by Phonics (practicing pronunciation by systematizing words) to develop reading ability.
<Meal break time>
Since you spend a lot of time in an English-only space, you will acquire normal life English that is possible. Snacks, meal times, toilets, breaks and various environments foster children's expressiveness.
<Task>
Home study is also important because children who usually go to kindergartens in Japan come into contact with English only once a week. Every time, you will be given a task that suits you. This instruction makes it possible to transfer from Kinder class to Sunday Elementary class in Sata.
A textbook, slippers, lunch box, and snacks are required as belongings each time.

★ Admission requirements
Children up to 4 years old are not required to speak English.
If a child over 5 years old is enrolled, we will check if you can understand the lesson contents when you take the trial.
