Our History
Founder, Mr Boon, started an ESL class for non-Englishspeaking foreign children attending Saint Maur International School in 1970.
In 2001 he also founded Eagle Preschool for Japanese children in the Kannai area of Yokohama.
This school moved to Totsuka two years later, and changed its name to Yokohama International Preschool.
An elementary class was added in 2003, changing our name to Kanagawa International School.
創設者のミスター・ブーン（Mr. Boon）は、1970年にサンモール・インターナショナルスクールに通う英語を母国語としない外国籍の子どもたちのために、ESLクラスを開設しました。
その後2001年、横浜・関内地区に日本人児童を対象とした「イーグル・プリスクール」を設立。その2年後、校舎を戸塚に移転し、校名を「横浜インターナショナル・プリスクール」へと改称しました。
2003年には小学部を併設し、現在の「神奈川インターナショナルスクール（KIS）」へと名称を変更し、現在に至ります。
Headmistress Orie Nishina
校長 仁科織江
Orie Nishina acquired her qualifications as a high school and junior high school student during her university years as an English education major student. Upon graduation, she has received her National Nursery Teacher License and Kindergarten Teacher License.
Ms. Orie has a wide range of relations with international schools and embassies nationwide.
Firstly, as a class mother at St. Maur International School, she has led clubs like the Girl Scouts and coordinated events including the Japanese Booth at the annual Food Fair.
Finally, as the Chief Manager of the student organization, International School Network, she has coordinated and attended meetings with over 100 Ambassadors, Directors of United Nations organizations, and Japanese Ministers.
神奈川県立柏陽高校卒業後、大学は英文科に進み中学・高校の英語教員一種免許を取得しています。また未就学児の指導に当たるため、 児童福祉法の保育士国家資格、幼稚園教諭一種免許を保持しています。Saint Maur International School ではクラスマム、ガールスカウトリーダー、日本ブース３年間コーディネーター代表を経験しています。また、各国にある International School と連絡を取り合ったり、日本国内の駐日大使や関係国連機関のトップ、日本国の大臣と懇談し、ＫＩＳの為に精力的に活動をしています。現在International School NetworkのChief Manager、神奈川インターナショナルスクールの校長、仁科母親英語の代表を務めています。

Ms. Ai
Totsuka School Head Teacher
Ms. Ai studied at Saint Maur International School from kindergarten through high school. She took Trinity Piano, mastering the highest level, Grade 8, proving high skills in music. After graduating St. Maur, Ms. Ai studied at the International Christian University (ICU) in Tokyo for four years, earning her bachelor's degree. Ms. Ai has the English Teaching qualification that she earned at university, and also the Child Minder qualification.
サンモールインターナショナルスクールで幼稚園から高校まで15年間過ごしました。
その間ピアノの国際機関トリニティーでthe highest level, Grade 8を取得しました。サンモールインターナショナルスクール卒業後国際基督教大学(ICU)に進学、中学・高校の英語の教師の免許を取得、学士号を得ました。大学卒業後 Child Minder qualificationを取得、現在神奈川インターナショナルスクールの教頭を務めつつ戸塚校のクラスを担当指導しています。
Ms. Liz was born and raised in Yorkshire, England. After graduating high school, she studied at Somerset College of Arts and Technology before moving on to The University of Plymouth to complete her Bachelor’s Degree in Multimedia Computing. After University, she returned to Taunton where she worked as a teacher at college, teaching Computing to undergraduates. She then moved to Japan to work as the Head Teacher at a preschool in Chiba before moving to KIS. She worked at KIS in Totsuka for a few years and came back to work at KIS in Fujisawa since returning to Japan from England in 2014.
イギリスのヨークシャーで生まれ育ちました。高校卒業後、イギリスのサマセット、トーントンにあるサマセット・カレッジ・オブ・アーツ・アンド・テクノロジーで学んだあと、プリマス大学に進学、マルチメディアコンピューティングの学士号を得ました。大学卒業後、トーントンに戻り、カレッジで教師を務めました。その後日本に移り、千葉にあるプリスクールでヘッドティーチャーを担当、その後KIS戸塚校で指導に当たりました。2014年に藤沢校のヘッドティーチャーとして抜擢されました。

注意事項
Our Regulations
These regulations are for the protection of the students, parents, and teachers.

Arrival Time: Please do not bring your child to school before the start of class (9:00 AM).

Pick-up Time: Please pick up your child promptly at the end of class. Please note that a late fee will be charged for any delays.
-
Authorized Pick-up: For the safety of our students, children will not be released to any person who has not been previously authorized by the parents.

Sickness: Children who arrive with noticeable symptoms such as a rash, fever, or a cold will not be admitted to class on that day.
-
Medical Emergencies: In the event of a medical emergency, staff will administer first aid and notify parents or guardians as soon as possible.

Safety Drills: Fire and evacuation drills are conducted on a monthly basis.
-
Prohibited Behavior: Rough play and bullying will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Personal Items: Personal toys are not allowed in class except on specific days designated by the teacher.

Daily Essentials: All students are required to keep a spare change of clothes, indoor shoes, and emergency supplies at the school.

Medication: If a child requires medication during school hours, parents must submit a written request/form.

Severe Weather: In the event of weather warnings, please check the Notice Board on our website after 7:00 AM to confirm if classes will be held.

Field Trips & Events: Parents will be notified of special events and field trips in advance. Please note that parental accompaniment is required for all off-campus activities.

Consultations: If you wish to meet with a teacher outside of regularly scheduled dates, please make an appointment in advance.

Communication: Any messages or updates from parents should be sent via email, LINE, or in writing.

登校時間: 授業開始（9:00）より早い登校はご遠慮ください。

下校時間: 授業終了時にお迎えをお願いします。遅れると遅延料がかかります。

お迎えの制限: 事前に承認されていない方へお子様を引き渡すことは、いかなる場合もありません。

病欠: 発疹、発熱、風邪などの症状が顕著な場合は、当日の登校を控えていただきます。
-
緊急時: 医療上の緊急事態が発生した際は、スタッフが応急処置を行い、速やかに保護者へ連絡いたします。
-
避難訓練: 火災を想定した消火避難訓練を毎月実施しています。
-
禁止事項: 乱暴な遊び、いじめ行為は一切容認されません。
-
私物: 先生が指定した日を除き、個人的なおもちゃの持ち込みは禁止です。
-
常備品: 全ての生徒は、着替え一式と室内履き、緊急避難用品を常備してください。
-
お薬: 投薬が必要な場合は、書面のご提出をお願いします。

悪天候時: 警報等の発令時は、当日午前7:00以降にホームページのNotice Boardにてご確認ください。
-
行事: 遠足や特別行事については事前に通知いたします。学校の外に出る行事は、保護者の同伴をお願いしています。
-
面談: 指定日以外に先生との面談を希望される場合は、事前予約をお願いします。

連絡: 保護者の方から学校への連絡事項は、eメール・ライン・書面にてお知らせください。
